During the monthlong effort beginning Tuesday, the District Department of Transportation will work to repair identified potholes within 48 hours instead of its normal response time of 72 hours.

The campaign ends on April 21.

Residents and commuters can go online, tweet, email or call to report a pothole.

In the first Potholepalooza held in 2009, D.C. transportation crews filled more than 6,000 potholes.
