D.C.'s tax day deadline is April 17
April 16, 2012 - 06:29 am
Residents in D.C. have one more day to finish their taxes before the April 17th deadline.
This year, the IRS has postponed the deadline by two days because April 15 is a Sunday and the next day is Emancipation Day — a public holiday observed in the District.
Federal law says D.C. holidays affect tax deadlines the same way federal holidays do.
