April 18, 2012 - 08:41 am
It's that time of year again — Time Magazine has released its annual list of the 100 most influential people.
A local woman has received one of the honors.
Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen of Bethesda is founder and president of Give an Hour. Her national nonprofit organization works to provide free mental health services to members of the military and their families.
Dr. Dahlen’s excerpt for the Time list was written by former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen.
Also on the list were athletes Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin, politicians Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, among others.
