April 20, 2012 - 09:42 am
A student has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at Fairmont Heights High School in Capital Heights.
Briant Coleman, a spokesperson for Prince George’s County Schools, says two female students were involved in an altercation around 9 a.m. Friday when one of them stabbed the other with an unknown object.
The victim was stabbed in the stomach, police say. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect remains in police custody.
The school, 1401 Nye Street, was temporarily locked down, but has since reopened.
It’s not clear what led to the dispute.
