Franklin Amobi murder still unsolved
Friends of 24-year-old Franklin Amobi met Friday morning as Montgomery County police passed out fliers to people getting on Metro buses.
Police say they’ve received new information that a woman who was walking in the area on the morning on December 27, 2011, may have some valuable information.
"They believe this witness may have seen what happened or seen the suspect and that boarded the Metro bus at this bus stop," says officer Janelle Smith of the Montgomery County police.
Amobi’s friends say his death is still fresh in their minds and they hope someone out there gives police the key they need to unlock this case.
"The community is always very helpful to us in these instances and it's with the communities help that we can sometimes get a tip," Smith says.
Amobi’s friends say his death is still fresh in their minds and they hope someone out there gives police the key they need to unlock this case. Police and family are offering a $10,000 reward for information.
"Somebody has to know something. This neighborhood is too small, too close. Somebody needs to speak up,” says friend Sharaya.
