Hagerstown man to serve 15 years in prison for assault

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - A man who admitted stabbing his father-in-law has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Twenty-three-year-old Joshua Bassford was sentenced Monday. He pleaded guilty to assault in January in the stabbing of Frederick Wiebel Jr.
The Herald Mail of Hagerstown reports prosecutors said Bassford stabbed Wiebel on Aug. 24 after Bassford wiped out Wiebel's computer records. During the argument that followed, Bassfordgot a knife and stabbed Wiebel in the chest.
