Prosecutors are recommending former D.C. Councilman Harry Thomas be sentenced to 46 months behind bars and another three years parole after he’s released.
Thomas should also pay $353,000 in restitution, prosecutors recommend.
Thomas Jr. pleaded guilty to stealing more than $350,000 from the District of Columbia and filing false tax returns. He stood accused of stealing funds earmarked for a youth sports program.
He is scheduled to be sentenced next week.
