Jacqline Mack indicted in Waldorf fatal crash
April 4, 2012 - 09:52 am
A 21-year-old Waldorf woman has been indicted on charges related to a fatal pedestrian accident in November 2011.
Charles County Sheriff’s Office says a grand jury returned an indictment against Jacqline Mack, of Waldorf, charging her with vehicular manslaughter. Speed, alcohol and failure to pay attention were contributing factors in this case, authorities say.
According to an investigation, Mack was driving on Holly Tree Lane when she lost control of her car, jumped a curb and struck 31-year-old Andre Nelson Shorts, of Clinton, who was walking in a grassy area about 10 feet off the roadway.
Mack remained at the scene.
Shorts was pronounced dead at the hospital.
