Man pulled from Farragut North tracks after falling
April 27, 2012 - 03:03 pm
A group of quick-thinking passengers saved a man after he fell onto a set of Metro Red Line tracks Friday afternoon.
WMATA officials say that a 70-year-old man lost his balance on the platform at the Farragut North station about about 1:30 p.m., sending him onto the tracks.
However, several nearby passengers jumped into action, pulling the man from the track bed and onto the platform. The man was taken to George Washington Hospital for evaluation.
No delays in service were encountered as a result of the incident.
