Metro Elderly and Disabled Transportation Advisory Committee members sought

WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro is seeking new members for an advisory committee that advises on ways to improve transit for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
Applications are being accepted from Metro riders to serve on the volunteer Metro Elderly and Disabled Transportation Advisory Committee.
The 20-member panel includes six members each from Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. There are also two at-large seats.
Positions on the committee are currently open for disabled or elderly riders from the district, Alexandria, Fairfax and Arlington counties and Prince George's and Montgomery counties.
The deadline for applications is April 29. Applications are available online or by calling 202-962-1100.
