Metro fare hikes tentatively approved
April 12, 2012 - 04:54 pm
Starting July 1, Metro riders will probably see the price of their trips increasing.
The Metro board tentatively approved a series of fare hikes Thursday, including an increase during peak travel times.
A committee approved raising peak fares 5.7 percent. That means the max you would pay for peak fare would be $5.75.
Passengers who use paper fare cards will pay an extra dollar.
And bus passengers will pay a dime extra.
