Montgomery County police cracking down on litter violations

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police are cracking down on litter violations this month.
April is Litter Enforcement Month in the Washington metro region, and officers from Montgomery County say they and other law enforcement agencies are going to pay special attention to litter violations.
It's illegal to litter or dump on any public highway or public property.
Police encourage people who witness such violations to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
