Michael Anthony Bailey killed by Prince George's County police
A Prince George's County police officer shot and killed an armed man in Landover, Md., Monday night.
According to police, a patrol officer approached three suspicious individuals, who then fled the scene. After giving chase on foot, the officer caught up to one of the individuals, who did not comply with the officer and was tased.
Police said the man removed the taser prongs from his body and reached for a gun in his waistband. The police officer then shot and killed the man.
The suspect was identified as Michael Anthony Bailey, 26.
The officer has been placed on routine administrative leave as the investigation continues, according to a tweet by Prince George's County police information officer Julie Parker.
