Potomac home invasion: 21-year-old man shot in Easter home invasion
A quiet street in Potomac, Md., was the scene of a home invasion Sunday night.
Just before midnight, gunshots were heard coming from a house in the middle of Victory Lane, a street in the neighborhood.
"It was quiet, there wasn't loud noises, and we did see them bring somebody out and put them on an ambulance," said resident Susan Bloom.
Police said the suspect came to the home, knocked on the door and struggled with the 21-year-old man who answered. The 21-year-old was shot, and the gunman fled.
No one else was hurt in the shooting, and nothing was taken from the home.
Today, residents of the neighborhood are wondering what the shooting was all about.
"It must have been an isolated event," said resident Kevin Healy.
The house in question has been a rental property for years, and recently, three young men have been living there.
