President Obama used Washington’s annual White House Correspondents Dinner to poke fun at his presumable GOP rival.

“It’s great to be here this evening in the vast, magnificent Hilton ballroom—or, what Mitt Romney would call a little fixer-upper,” Obama said during the dinner.

At the same time, his re-election campaign is reminding Americans of the accomplishments the president has made: in his term, he killed notorious terrorist Osama bin Laden and saved auto giant General Motors.

The one-year anniversary of Osama bin Laden's killing is Wednesday. With the election just over six months away, some analysts are saying that the Obama camp is using the anniversary for political gain. They are even running a new campaign advertisement that suggests that Mitt Romney may not have made the same decision.

“This is one area where Obama can boast. He can't do it about the economy. Killing OBL, that's something he wants to emphasize,” said former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (D).

Romney's campaign calls the new attacks sad and says they're a distraction from the real issues including the economy.

Sunday night, Obama joined former President Bill Clinton at a private campaign fundraiser in the area—continuing to raise the money he needs to win a second term in the White House.
