WASHINGTON (AP) - Rick Santorum's campaign says the presidential candidate's 3-year-old daughter, Bella, has been released from a Virginia hospital and is settling in at home with her parents.
Bella, who suffers from a rare genetic condition called Trisomy 18, was hospitalized Friday as her father began a brief holiday break from campaigning.
Santorum did not campaign Monday so he could be with his daughter, who was discharged from the hospital Monday night.
Campaign spokesman Hogan Gidley says Santorum has cancelled his first two events scheduled for Tuesday, but will add a campaign stop in Gettysburg, Pa., in the afternoon.
Gidley says Santorum and his wife, Karen, were "truly overwhelmed by the prayers and support they've received."
