Ryan O'Neal diagnosed with prostate cancer
April 14, 2012 - 12:36 pm
Ryan O’Neal, the longtime partner of the late Farrah Fawcett, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, he confirmed to People on Friday.
O’Neal, 70, who had Leukemia before, was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer.
"Although I was shocked and stunned by the news, I feel fortunate that it was detected early and according to my extraordinary team of doctors the prognosis is positive for a full recovery,” O’Neal said in a statement to People.
His health announcement comes just three years after Fawcett passed away from anal cancer in 2009.
