Southeast shootings leave one dead, one hurt
April 18, 2012 - 05:19 am
Police are investigating two separate late-night shootings in Southeast, one of which was fatal.
In the first shooting, a 42-year-old Washington man died after he was shot in the back of the head just before midnight Tuesday in the 3300 block of 14th Place SE.
MPD officials say that they responded to the area at about 11:20 p.m. to find 42-year-old George Hardy suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical first responders declared him dead at the scene.
About 30 minutes earlier, police responded to another shooting in the 600 block of 53rd Street, where a man was shot in the arm.
No arrests have been made in either case.
