Stephanie Banchero, Mary Corkill killed in Anne Arundel vehicle crash
Three people were killed Monday in two separate vehicle crashes in Anne Arundel County.
In the first crash, at about 4:50 p.m., an elderly woman from Gambrills was killed when the vehicle she was riding in struck a wall of a parking garage in the 2600 block of Chapel Lake Drive in Gambrills.
In the second crash, at about 6 p.m., two women were killed in a collision at Davidsonville Road near Rossback Road in Davidsonville.
Killed in the crash were Stephanie Noell Banchero, 26, of Gambrills, and Mary Elizabeth Corkill, 70, of Davidsonville.
Police said Banchero was driving on Davidsonville Road when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into Corkill. Driver error is a contributing factor in the crash, police say.
Police said there is no evidence drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash but police are continuing to investigate the crash.
