Tamatha Hickman arrested on gun charges, not missing
UPDATE: Gainesville woman Tamatha Chapman Hickman, 39, was arrested on Monday evening on accounts of reckless handling of a firearm. She was earlier reported as a missing person.
Prince William Police had determined earlier in the day that Hickman was the accused in firing several rounds at her home after an altercation with her husband. She then fled on foot.
She was found and arrested without incident at a residence in Fairfax County. She is now in custody.
Prince William Police on Monday morning reported Hickman as a missing person after an investigation showed that she was involved in a verbal altercation with her husband at their home. Hickman left the home after the altercation.
It was reported that it was believed that Hickman may have been suicidal, police said.
