WASHINGTON (AP) - A community discussion on the perception of black men inspired by the shooting death of Trayvon Martin is planned at the D.C. Armory.

WTOP reports that the discussion will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. It's hosted by the Commission on Black Men and Boys created by congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes-Norton.

Among the four panelists will be Charlie Rawlings, whose 14-year-old son was killed in 2007 in a shooting involving two off-duty D.C. police officers.

They were never charged and the family received a settlement from the city. Seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin was killed Feb. 26 by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Florida.

The case has prompted a nationwide discussion on racial relations.
