Blue Angels to take flight during air show
May 18, 2012 - 08:02 am
The Blue Angels are about the best around—the Navy’s top guns. To fly with them is an experience of a lifetime.
So, when you are one of the three civilians invited to fly along, you say yes. The first person you meet is crew chief Daniel Pascual. He keeps the plane in the air, but today he's trying to keep us from passing out or losing our lunch. It turns out, it’s all about the breathing.
Once the pilot, Naval Academy grad Mark Tedrow starts her up, Blue Angel 7 is ready for take-off. The once-in-a-lifetime rollercoaster ride starts with a bang.
The high speed soaring will take place at this weekend’s Andrew’s Airshow.
