Canal Road lanes closed Friday night for safety net installation
May 11, 2012 - 03:19 pm
Two lanes of a portion of Canal Road in Northwest Washington will be closed Friday night into Saturday morning to allow for the installation of a safety net, the National Park Service says.
The closure will impact two lanes of Canal Road near Arizona Avenue NW between 9 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday. Authorities will be installing a safety net under the pedestrian bridge over Canal.
Flaggers will be in place to guide two-way traffic on one remaining open lane.
