Citizens fight Costco's proposed mega gas station in Wheaton
May 10, 2012 - 11:21 pm
A group of citizens who are fighting against a mega gas station just got some strong ammunition.
Several Montgomery County Council members are taking positions against putting in a 16-pump gas station at the Costco that is being built in Wheaton.
The residents called on an environmental scientist to support their assertions about exhaust from backed up vehicles creating a toxic cloud which will hang over their neighborhood.
The county will hold a public hearing on a zoning restriction next month.
ABC7's Stephen Tschida has the story.
