Drug raids nab four at Ocean City boardwalk shops
OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - Police in Ocean City say four people are facing charges after the seizure of synthetic drugs and paraphernalia from two boardwalk businesses.
Warrants were served at Cool Topics and New York, New York on Friday after police say detectives made undercover purchases from the two stores.
They say employees explained to the detectives how to get high using the synthetic drugs.
Police say officers seized more than 500 bags of packaged suspected synthetic marijuana and several hundred other pieces of suspected drug paraphernalia and a computer.
Fifty-two-year-old David Lougasi of Berlin, 27-year-old Nitzahn Lougasi of Ocean City, 22-year-old Teodras Kassa of Ocean City and 21-year-old Haileleul Mulugeta of Silver Spring are charged with drug paraphernalia offenses and violations of town ordinances related to synthetic drugs.
