Eastern Market Metrobus accident injures at least 17

At least 17 people were injured Friday morning in an accident involving a Metrobus near Eastern Market, police say.
A 92 Line bus traveling from Southeast to 14th and U streets NW was cut off by car near 8th and E streets SE, Metro officials say. The operator had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision.
Metro says that at least seven people were injured and 10 more suffered minor wounds.
