A young girl was shot in the leg early Monday morning in Northeast.
Police say the "gun shot grazed her left thigh area" in the 300 block of New York Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. The victim, believed to be between the ages of 10 and 14, is recovering.
Police say someone in a white pick-up truck drove the victim to the Sixth District police station. A group of young people were inside of the vehicle, police say.
The victim told police that someone in an unknown car began shooting at the car she was in.
Police have issued a lookout for three females and a male who were seen in a white car.
