Green Line Metro delays due to suicide attempt
May 3, 2012 - 02:57 pm
Metro officials say a woman intentionally put herself in the path of an oncoming Green Line train Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at U Street/Cardozo Station and are calling the situation a rescue. Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says the victim is "showing signs of life."
Right now, Yellow and Green Line trains are single tracking around the scene.
Trains are also single tracking between Georgia Avenue and Mt. Vernon Square.
