Herbert Hancock Hayes charged in stabbing death

Metropolitan police say an 40-year-old Northwest man has been arrested for a May 18 deadly stabbing.
Herbert Hancock Hayes, also known as Herbert Grayson Hayes, was charged Monday with murder two while armed in connection with the death of John Wesley Griffin, 42.
On May 18, officers were called to the 1200 block of North Capitol Street for reports of a stabbing.
Police say Griffin, who lived in Southeast, was stabbed multiple times. He died at a local hospital.
