Jamil Alam arrested for garage break-ins

Police say a 20-year-old Sterling man may be responsible for at least 20 garage break-ins in Fairfax County.
Police arrested Jamil Alam on Sunday and charged him with two counts of burglary. He is suspected of being involved in multiple burglaries that started in mid-March.
Police say Apple electronic devices, alcohol, purses and wallets all disappeared from residences.
Alam is charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, two counts of attempted burglary, and possession of burglary tools.
