Jenny Bermant, Kilby Elementary principal, on leave during financial investigation
May 1, 2012 - 05:26 pm
Parents and students of a Woodbridge elementary school were left to wonder what happened after the school's principal was abruptly relieved of her duties.
A new principal was sent to Kilby Elementary School to replace Jenny Bermant. School officials would only say Bermant was placed on leave following an audit of the school's financial records.
The investigation into that audit has been turned over to Prince William County Police.
Parents picking up their children say they weren't told of Bermant's removal.
When ABC7 went to Bermant's Dumfries home, she was not there.
