Mike Shanahan knocked down during practice
The Washington Redskins have canceled a scheduled post practice press conference Monday after coach Mike Shanahan collided with a player and was knocked down.
The collision occurred late in the practice session. Shanahan was seen laying on the turf with dozens of players and team personnel surrounding him.
106.7’s Redskins beat reporter Grant Paulsen tweeted that “Shanahan was laid out on the ground for a couple minutes and was tended to by the training staff as players gathered around.”
Paulsen tweeted that Shanahan was knocked down by Brandyn Thompson.
Shanahan was seen smiling and talking to coaches after the practice,
However, a PR representative for the Redskins says Shanahan is “in no condition to conduct the press conference,” adding that Shanahan is fine.
