Mother's Day 2012: Stories of surprise and volunteerism
May 13, 2012 - 10:07 pm
Moms were honored in a lot of different ways in the Washington area on Mother's Day today.
ABC7's Stephen Tschida reports on two very special Mother's Day observances.
In one case, a group of young professionals donate their time and energy to help make some badly needed repairs at the home of a young mother and her own mother who live together.
Stephanie Buffum, a Prince George's County firefighter/paramedic, was working on Mother's Day, so her son, Aiden, surprised her at work.
