MARYLAND
New casino at Arundel Mills could bring highway, parking horrors
May 26, 2012 - 12:49 am
The D.C. region is about to hit the jackpot with the opening of a new casino far closer to the District than ever before.
But will this lead to horror on the highways?
In less than two weeks the Maryland Live! Casino is scheduled to open at Arundel Mills.
But even before the casino, Arundel Mills already struggles with parking problems.
ABC7's Tom Roussey lets us know how this problem is about to get worse and how they're trying to avoid it becoming even worse.
Among the changes they're making are a new parking garage with 5,000 spaces, new traffic signals and signs, and a wild road project called the Diverging Diamond.
