New York Rangers Eastern Conference Finals tickets on sale?
It's always in the best interest of teams to have their arenas filled up, especially in the NHL, when a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals is on the line.
But did the New York Rangers jump then gun when it comes to selling tickets to home games in the Eastern Conference Finals?
As Ted Starkey, a Washington Times web editor and the author of two books on the Washington Capitals, points out, the Rangers might be doing just that.
There's one tiny, little problem with that though, and it has to do with the idea that the Rangers haven't yet advanced to the Conference Finals. Their series with the Capitals, which continues with Monday night's Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, is tied at 2-2. The Capitals squared the series on Saturday with a 3-2 win at the Verizon Center.
Starkey tweeted the proof in the form of an email.

We're no experts, but that may end up on the bulletin board inside the Capitals locker room at some point.
