Pernell Lonnie Dawkins' death ruled a homicide
May 15, 2012 - 10:13 pm
A 2011 Southeast D.C. shooting has turned into a homicide investigation.
On July 17, 2011, officers were called to the 300 block of Ridge Road and found 43-year-old Pernell Lonnie Dawkins suffering from a gunshot wound.
Dawkins' injury left him paralyzed, and he was transferred to a Maryland rehabilitation center. He died at the center on March 14, 2012.
The case was ruled a homicide after the Medical Examiner's report determined Dawkins died as a result of the shooting.
Police asks that anyone with information in this case call 202-727-9099. There's a $25,000 reward.
