Prince George's County serial robbery suspects sought
Updated: May 14, 2012 - 05:22 pm
Two men are being sought by Prince George's County Police in connection to a string of robberies that have affected six businesses since Friday night.
Police say that the same two suspects have robbed six gas stations and convenience stores in Capitol Heights, Bowie, Glenn Dale and Kettering. At each robbery, they say the suspects have been armed with semi-automatic handguns, wore masks and got away in a newer-model, gray Dodge Charger.
The suspects may be connected to an earlier string of robberies in the District of Columbia that MPD detectives have been investigating, police say.
Police say the following robberies have been committed by the two suspects:
| Date | Location | Address |
| May 11 | Shell | 13800 block of Annapolis Road, Bowie |
| May 12 | Safeway | 12400 block of Fairwood Parkway, Glenn Dale |
| May 12 | McDonald's | 20 block of Ritchie Road, Capitol Heights |
| May 13 | Chesapeake Market | 13800 block of Annapolis Road, Glenn Dale |
| May 13 | 7-Eleven | 7400 block of Central Avenue, Capitol Heights |
| May 13 | 7-Eleven | 22 block of Watkins Park Drive, Kettering |
The first robbery at the Bowie Shell was completely caught on video. At about 10:30 p.m. Friday, the video shows two suspects calmly walking into the convenience store, guns in hand. Store owner Kim Sov says a suspect told everybody to hit the ground.
"I think the guy thought a visitor would try and call the police," Sov said. The suspects got away with about $650 in that incident, police say, and they were successful at doing it at least five more times.
"They have targeted...everything ranging from restaurants to gas stations, to convenience stores, and their target is money," Prince George's County Police spokesperson Julie Parker said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George's County Police at (301) 772-4905.
