Prince George's suspect wanted for McDonald's break-in
Caught on tape! It's a strange way to rob a fast food restaurant.
A man smashes, then climbs through a McDonald's drive-through window in the 3500 block of Branch Avenue in Hillcrest Heights in Prince George's County.
It's a drive-through window, but the robber was intent on climbing through. You can see how he breaks the glass and throws the sliding panel on the floor.
Then, feet first, he calmly makes his way into the restaurant.
What police like best about the video is that the crook brushes aside his hair so you can clearly see his face.
Video from PGPD News Blog.
McDonalds customers who watched the video say he deserves to be caught.
"The hamburglar. That's right, that should be his name. The hamburglar," Issa Sare says.
"You know, you're an idiot," says Corey Rank. "Why jump through a window with a bunch of cameras just looking at you? That's stupid."
And he chose to break into a 24-hour drive thru. So even though it was 2:39 a.m., the restaurant was staffed. He almost immediately encountered a worker.
"He picks up a metal cup, threatens the life of the victim and demanded money," says Sgt. Sonya Rorls of the Prince George's County Police. "And in fear of her life, she gave him cash."
Police ask that you look at the man's face and report his identity.
