Soccer fields: Residents continue to fight controversial proposal
Efforts to prevent a Potomac farm from being converted into soccer fields have been stepped up in Montgomery County.
The hot button issue has opponents protesting the idea.
Members of the Brickyard Coalition in Potomac are accusing Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett of hiding information about the county's controversial soccer field plans.
For months, the Brickyard Coalition has criticized Leggett for his plan to turn an organic farm in their neighborhood into soccer fields.
Residents have expressed concerns about potential noise and traffic from the Brickyard project. But most of all, they say, the process has lacked transparency.
