LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County fire officials say a toddler is in critical condition after nearly drowning in a bathtub of a home in Laurel.
County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says family members called 911 and performed CPR on the girl after she was found under water in the tub on Thursday.
Rescuers responded to the home in the 1000 block of 10th Street about 7:15 p.m. and continued emergency care and took the girl to a hospital. Officials have not released the child's age.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
