Trenton Carter arrested for vandalizing Fairfax County mosque
May 11, 2012 - 10:38 am
Police arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly vandalizing a mosque in Fairfax County and causing more than $200,000 in damage.
Fairfax County police arrested Trenton Carter and charged him with felony destruction of property. Police say he vandalized the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosque in late January. Almost every single window of the mosque was smashed or cracked.
After the attack, residents in the area offered support to members of the mosque.
Police earlier said there wasn’t evidence the vandalism was a hate crime.
