COMMUTE
Weekend Metro delays impact Red, Green, Orange lines
Metro is undertaking more track work this weekend, but this time around, no stations will be completely closed down to accommodate the construction work.
Single tracking will occur in several places, though, so riders are urged to add time to their commute starting at 10 p.m. Friday.
Track work will affect the following portions of the rail system:
Orange Line: Buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and West Falls Church.
Red Line: Single-tracking will occur in two places - between Takoma and Forest Glen and between Van Ness and Friendship Heights.
Green Line: Trains will single-track between Greenbelt and Prince George's Plaza. As a result, Yellow Line trains will only operate between Mount Vernon Square and Huntington.
