White House pushes economic 'to do' list for Congress
The White House is increasing its push for Congress to act on building the U.S. economy.
The push comes as the administration is touting it’s “We Can’t Wait” initiative, which centers on the administration pushing legislation and programs through without “waiting” for congressional lawmakers to take action.
The administration on Tuesday outlined five initiatives that they said “have bipartisan support and at this make-or-break moment for the middle class.”
The tasks included in the “to do list” were to reward American jobs and eliminate tax incentives to ship jobs overseas, allow for “responsible” homeowners to refinance, give higher tax credits for small businesses, invest in clean energy and returning veterans to work with the skills they’ve already established.
