5 hurt in crash between van, motorcycle near Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County fire officials say five people were injured in a collision between a van and a motorcycle in the Germantown area.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. Sunday on Frederick Road, near the entrance to a shopping center.
Capt. Oscar Garcia of Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says one person suffered life-threatening injuries, and four others were hurt.
Rescue workers had to extricate four patients from the van.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
