7-year-old girl killed in 3-car crash in Charles County
A 7-year-old Waldorf girl was killed in a three-car collision in Bryans Road in Charles County Sunday afternoon, police say.
Maryland State Police determined that alcohol was a factor when a Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Jackson Tutt, 73, of Fort Washington, crossed the median on Rt. 210 near Lewis Drive and hit a Chevrolet Trailblazer and then sideswiped a Nissan Altima.
Tutt had been traveling southbound on 210 but crossed the median and hit the other two vehicles, both of which were traveling northbound on 210. It happened at 3:21 p.m.
Jan-nae Alicia Woodard, 7, who was in the Nissan, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Nissan, Marquetta Rochelle McGee, 36, of Waldorf was flown to a shock trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
Tutt was also was flown to a shock trauma center. He has non-life-threatening injuries.
An unnamed woman passenger in the Trailblazer was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
