Air Yeezy II sneakers draw big crowds
June 9, 2012 - 09:55 am
Crowds lined up Saturday for a chance to buy Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy II sneakers.
The shoes, featuring faux reptile skin and glow-in-the-dark soles, retail in store for close to $300. Online, sneaker lovers are bidding thousands.
Locally, people were out early at the DTLR at Senator Square on Minnesota Avenue for a chance to buy the celebrity shoe. The store is the only business in the area selling the highly coveted sneaker.
