Alexandria City Council taken by incumbents
June 13, 2012 - 08:15 am
They are oldies and have proven to be goodies, too: the incumbents swept the Alexandria City Council races Tuesday night.
Former Alexandria City Council members Timothy Lovain and Justin Wilson and incumbents Del Pepper and Paul Smedberg took the Democratic nominations to the council.
The wins were four of the six potential nominations. Allison Silberberg and John Taylor Chapman took the other Democrat spots. The winners will then face two independent, and three Republican nominations on Nov. 6 for the six council seats.
