Capitol Heights shooting leaves victim dead, suspect loose

Prince George's County Police detectives are searching for a suspect in the Tuesday afternoon fatal shooting of a Prince George's County man in Capitol Heights.

Officials say they found a Darnell Vincent Furr Jr., 19, suffering from gunshot wounds in the 5000 block of Emo Street in Capitol Heights just after 1:45 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no description of the shooter, but authorities say they are searching for a blue Volkswagen Passat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George's County Police or Crime Solvers.
