Car crashes into woman's bedroom in New Carrollton
At about 3:30 Sunday morning, a woman was sound asleep in the bedroom of her ground floor apartment in New Carrollton when a car came crashing through her window.
The impact was so strong it knocked her out of her bed and onto the floor.
Prince George's County Police tell ABC7 the driver was pulling into a parking space when for some reason the brakes failed.
The damage to the car seems confined to the passenger side of the front of the car.
No one had to be evacuated from the building but neighbors say they've feared something like this would happen.
"It's scary because I live on the ground floor and I've been worried something like that would happen to me," says Damien Bailey, a neighbor.
Police say the woman was taken to the hospital suffering from minor injuries.
She has been released from the hospital, is on medication and resting. The driver was still being treated for chest pain.
