David Allen Shepherd charged in Southeast shooting

D.C. police have made an arrest in an early morning shooting in Southeast.
Police say an officer on foot patrol near the 1100 block of Chicago Street responded to reports of a shooting a little after 1 a.m. Sunday.
When the officer arrived at the scene, he found 32-year-old Henry Charles Miller of Southeast suffering from a gunshot wound. Miller was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Police were given a suspect and vehicle description, and the suspect was arrested in the1400 block of Brentwood Parkway in Northeast.
Police say the suspect, 48-year-old David Allen Shepherd of Northeast, DC., is charged with murder one while armed.
